Project WeerdWurld //

> what is weerdwurld?

weerdwurld is a lil side project of mine that allows me to expand my horizons as an artist without really attaching it to my actual name; like a pseudo-pseudonym.

> why have a pseudo-pseudonym?

for the longest time I wanted a way to separate my professional work from my casual work. weerdwurld allows me to do this. I can drop artwork without it being an “aj piece”, its super relaxed and there’s no pressure to make it a “great” work of art [whatever that means].

> when did weerdwurld start?

project weerdwurld started during the 2020-21 Covid Pandemic when the entire world and I was stuck at home fearful for our lives. With so much time to introspect about myself and retrospect about the new society we were facing, I started weerdwurld to create art to escape but also ground us in the very weird world we lived in.

> what does future hold for weerdwurld?

honestly, who knows. weerdwurld was just a quirky lil side project turned alter ego/official joke brand so the possibilities are endless. I want to release clothing in the future but that requires that I learn how to actually create clothes so yeah haha. For now it’s whatever I think it is [whatever it is] and it’s gonna be like that until I decide to change course.
